Flitting Sanity

Flitting Sanity

A Poem by Mikaelah
"

Inspired by 'Chemically Insane' by Billy Stevens.

"
I do not dwell on thoughts
Nor do I mull
Dangerous, they are, in fact
How they pull one in
and they are never to come out
Sane

It is a lonely place, my mind
There had been voices, very few, in the past
Ridiculing
Giggling while I burn

I took too much of my time thinking
and so they left, annoyed
Irritated by my curiosity, my yearning for answers

Now I am lonely
Gone are the demons and their whispers
I am left to burn here, without them

Had I not thought so frequent
This would not be my end

My flitting sanity is suffering with it's wings still in tact
but the mental paralysis has done its damage
because I should not dwell on my thoughts
and I should not mull

Mikaelah
Done in roughly 10 minutes, before heading out to church. Religion hits a very sensitive nerve inside of me.
