MarionetteA Poem by MikaelahThis is old, written in mid 2008. A guy betrayed my trust, and this was my way of venting. I was so emo in sixth grade, so 'scuse that.
Plastic strings of lies tug at my sore limbs
manipulating my body to your every whim A smirk plastered on your face as you watch my tears fall The erratic beating of my heart against tight walls What you did will never compare to any other pain Our love ending in flames Your morality not evident in our relationship Have you no shame? Was I your mere puppet? A doll for your own amusement A play toy. Nothing more My face, contorted in pure sadness My wrists sting from violent gashes Yet, you laugh manically A taunting expression pointed toward me You leave me on the ground, impressed with your work No sorrowful goodbye But my face full of dirt © 2009 MikaelahAuthor's Note
