Lemon In My Throat

Lemon In My Throat

A Poem by www.mikakohli.com
"

A poem about being the "other woman".

"

The black note on your piano,
You use me now and then,
And a lemon in my throat, when I hear
You’re playing her once again.
Pushed aside, out of your mind,
To make room for someone new,
And suddenly I find myself
Waiting second in the queue.
I’m the yellow in your rainbow,
Pale, against her crimson red.
Yet feeling blue, knowing you
Already
Filled my side of the bed.
