Progress

Progress

A Story by Corey O'Brien
"

Progress can only go so long without a bump in the road.

"
How dare my progress be hindered.
How audacious to take all that I had gained, progress that I had made, and throw it all away.
Couldn't they see I could've been so much farther, done so much more with what I had been given if not for this.
Stagnation kills creativity
A shark that stops swimming is dead in the water yet they do not hesitate to obstruct my path.
Why?
What purpose does it serve to stop me so everyone else can catch up?
Constantly striving to be ahead of the crowd, the trailblazer, the trendsetter, isn't that what they want?
I will not be silenced. I will not be stopped.

Plus they're gonna make me late for dinner.

F****n' red lights.
