Fires Within

Anger and loneliness beyond one’s comprehension pours from what seems to be every orifice of his being. A hate so intense that it comes off as a tangible aura vaporizing everything it touches. The surrounding areas go up in flames. He stands in the epicenter of this monstrous typhoon of heat and destruction, screaming until his vocal chords burst from the strain. The fire rushes through the building like a vengeful demon, killing anyone who dares cross its path. Spiraling, swirling, surging to the top like the tendrils of a hell spawn kraken. Finally under the pressure the building collapses, unable to carry the burden of the murderous beast. Smoke clouds and ashes ensue filling the air with a shroud of gray. The dust settles, embers from the still raging fires burn on and at the center of the crater of destruction lies the man. Out of the smoke walks a woman. She looks upon his body and weeps. If only he knew. He was mistaken, and he paid the ultimate price.
