A Poem by Mifa
"

"...hurt me once, I hurt you more"

"

I took a knife and drove it into her heart;

I saw the pain in her eyes,

I laughed and gave it back to her, saying,

“It’s my turn. Do me. Do me”

She took the knife and drove it into my head,

I was numbed to shock;

Appalled by her treachery,

As she sneered and laughed in my face

“Why?” I asked,

Bleeding crimson through the gaping hole in my head

“Anyone can learn to live with a broken heart”,

She said with a wicked smile,

“But no one survives a broken mind” "It's over".

This was like a playful re-imagining of getting back with an ex whose heart you had broken the first time. Any thoughts?

Now, this is very interesting... Because I'm very interested in neuropsychology, I think a broken mind can be "fixed"... Although, the restoration is never the same as before... So, I guess it actually isn't fixed... Ah, I'm confusing myself! Anyways, wonderful job!

Thank you. Lol. It can be very confusing sometimes.
I have witnessed many people with broken hearts who are detached from reality. It makes me think that they have a broken mind as well.
Having said that I really like this poem.There is a depth in this apparently simple poem.
