I am sorry you can pen this loss so well... I know you have felt it in your core.
Is there a time to live and a time to die? I think yes and no. No, in respect to thinking we a predestined to some clockwork fate of a manipulating God. Yes, in respect to everything is what and when it is. The now is all we have at any given time. Sometimes the now is life and at other times it is dealing with our mortality in this life. If we honor the now to the best of our potential, I believe we not only ensure our now stretches into eternity, but we also experience the fullest measure of our existence. Interestingly enough, we honor those who no longer live in our now when we accept what is in the season of our life at any given moment.
I feel you have done this well in your poetry.
Sorry to go so deep, but I found the write stimulating.
Be well dusty,
Scott.

They said it is part of being a true believer to have no doubts and no complaints about whatever destiny brings, since it is the will of God, and we, humans, should not rebel against it. We should, they say, accept everything that comes from Him, including death. I say have we any other alternatives? No, I’m afraid, no.
Death is a fatality that none can change. And when it comes to what it is, and when it would be, I think these are matters beyond our knowledge; beyond our imperfect human perception. I only have the certitude that death is not the end, and that though the body fades, the soul is immortal. This may sound as a mere vague personal belief, yet in it I find a rational, I dare say, explanation to the phenomenon, and a sort of consolation.
Is it all God’s manipulation? I wouldn’t call it so! “God does not play dice with the universe.”
I believe, yet, that everything is already written down...
You needn’t say sorry for sharing your thoughts anymore! I’m very much pleased to have this interesting discussion about a theme that not everybody dares or cares to tackle.

These opinions were not the hard facts they were represented to be at the time; rather, these opinions represented suppositions and edicts for living. I find no fault in living to the best of our abilities and even holding onto belief systems we are comfortable with. Still, we need to be open to our own growth spiritually and cognitively. The relative knowledge base is always changing.
This much I know as a point of reason in my mind. I have free will. I can choose by actions. I can type a word or not. The actions I take today will affect the future path I travel. Yes, I will find any path leading to and passing through the funneling pricking point of death. However, as you have stated, the "trajectory" of the eternity beyond this constriction in time and choice will be affected by those same choices I make today and in the future. It is wonderful to think we are the authors of our fate in many ways. No, not every chance happening of ill or good, but indeed the intention and disposition of our lives.
I love this topic btw... :)
Thank you for your openness and willingness to discourse on the topic.
