SILENCE BROKEN

Maybe some words, are best left unspoken.
Sometimes hearts shatter,
Once silence is broken.
It’s always been like this, between you and Me.
A couple years back, I thought I broke free.
But, you could not lose, no not you.
Using my son to control and hurt me,
That’s what you decided to do.
He was the only weapon, that you possessed.
You never wanted me, before suddenly,
Now you’re obsessed.
I should have not fallen for your fake smile, and charm.
I probably wouldn’t have,
If not for my son , resting within the grips of your strangling arms.
You lusted for me, like a dog in heat.
You behaved as if you couldn’t live without me.
That’s what really swept me off my feet.
For twelve years, you were either screaming,throwing things at, or completely ignoring me.
How was I so stupid, to fall right into your trap.
I guess I chose to see, what i had wanted to see.
Now, here I am stuck once more.
Crying Night after night,
In silent darkness behind a closed door.
You are cruel beyond belief,
I fear this time around, death
Shall be the only relief.
You point out my shortcomings,after all,
No fault ever belongs to you.
It’s always because of someone else or me, that makes you act the way you do.
If you would only see,
If you only knew.
Perhaps you could learn to change these hurtful,
destructive things you do.
But, you choose not to see,
Even after being assessed by a legitimate PHD.
She told you things, you didn’t want to hear.
So out you walked,
Turning a def ear.
This is all so confusing for our little son.
Whenever you and I disagree,
You tell him “ mommy’s sick,
She’s a crazy one!
I believe he’s begun to see through you now as well.
How we’ll make it through this,only time will tell.
