The Artists Dream

The Artists Dream

A Poem by Resa

The Artist Dream
Picture a painting,
A portrait of love, honesty and trust.
A scene without, hatred, lies
Or lust.
As real as may seem,
It’s only but,an artists
Dream.

A perspective from the age it was written. What you want against what is real. Nice piece

Thought the 'Gambler was good also, an analogy on love, life etc.

Not sure about 'Jackob'. I understand the feelings involved, but it is a little bit too sentimental for me. Doesn't make it good or bad, just not to my taste. (If we all liked the same thing, the world would be boring.)

and if it came true, we could frame it and hang it out for all the world to see, understand and hopefully find inspiration to do same.
