.A life without dreams

.A life without dreams

A Poem by Resa

Am I still alive? Just waiting for death to arrive.

One day I awoke, yet I was asleep.
Following a pattern, like a senseless sheep.

My mind seems avoid, like an empty plate.
Is this now my life? My destiny, my fate?
To carry-on, without a single hope or dream?
Dying inside, unable to scream.

What has happened?
Where did I go?
Was I always this way, and just didn’t know?

I believe not, it can’t be so.
Oh help me remember where, my dreams used to grow.

Most of us here have felt that way at some point of their lives I'm sure. The feeling that you get...of being lost, clueless, having nothing to live for, when this life seems nothing but waste to you. Patience is the key during these times. It's dark, but the sun cannot be hidden for your entire life span; it's going to rise one day or another.
Nicely done!
(I think you meant "my mind seems 'void' " in the first line of the 3rd para)
