The Man

The Man

A Story by Koda

He swallowed hard, fighting back the tears that might give away his weakness of having a soft side. He sat there In his chair, arms on the table slightly shaking to the officers voice as he said that the man's wife and children will not be coming home. As the officer was escorted out, the officer nodded his head in respect one last time and dissappear into the nights awake. Crashing to his knees, his eyes ran like a faucet the saltly tears flooded his vision. The coldness in his bones, it rifled through him never it giving him any mercy. Any pressure on his bone and the feel that they could snap like twigs took over. His breath turned heavy and sharp like the air was being sucked out the room he was in, trying to grasp for air he had an aboudonce of. His lungs compresseing and epexpanding till they were pushing against the ribs creating an immense shear of pain that goes through his body like wildfire. His finger and toes had tingling sensations that spread through his body till he was trifling with nausea. Large amounts of pain vigorously take over his body and he collapses to the floor laying on his stomach. Soak in his is own vomit. He cries for help, but none came. The blood pool surrounding his head, the sickening voice of silence, the crusted hole in his head. Motionless and numb no more pain to feel to more time to grieve. But he can finally spend the rest of his essence with his family.
