Bottomless Pit

Bottomless Pit

A Poem by Koda

Through your eyes,
I see pain
Through my eyes,
I see a broken body,
Through your eyes,
I feel like I have nothing to gain.
Buried within yourself,
I tried to break your walls,
your huddled in the corner of a shelf,
mirrors shattered,
they are her stepping stones.
falling far,
I have no grip,
she won't cry,
she won't scream,
please baby girl,
don't do this to me.
I lost you,
you took wings,
those pills sprawled on your bed,
I wish you knew,
I wish I could of saved you,
now your an angel,
who fell endlessly.
to be happy with herself,
to give what she thought others wanted,
be be what others thought,
I wish she knew,
I wish she could of seen,
how much I loved her,
my best friend.
I didn't try hard,
didn't try hard enough,
dawn to dusk,
I tried to convince her,
she was better than this,
I couldn't do it,
she let go before i could grab her,
I am sorry,
I should of tried harder.
