Hold on

Hold on

A Poem by Midnight_Mask

What's stopping me from falling down?

My roots hold me strong, no matter how much I'm weaking

Slowly leaves begin to fall, leaving me vulnerable

But I must hold on.

No matter how powerful this deathly sleep pulls me,

I must resist.

No matter how much this vine like flower suffercates me

I will keep on breathing for her

Because as she clings onto me, with pain and suffering

I hold onto her, protecting this delicate pretty flower.

Out of harsh determination, I fail to achieve

This sweet charming song of sleep,

Chilling me with dreams

But I awake to a day and you're gone.

Why couldn't have I hold on?
