What if you didn’t come back?

What if you didn’t come back?

A Poem by Midnight_Mask
"

Just haven't wrote anything for ages and after starting work haven't had time, here you go

"

I miss those precious times

When all we felt was the closeness of our bodies

And heat, so hot with passion it scorched our wants.

Feeling only the need to fall into you still

Envelope you in open arms

Beg you to tell me the secret to break away from this guilt.

It was my selfish words that groped you to a halt

Burnt fury and determination in your eyes

Turn my own thoughts, my own mistakes against me.

I lay there, doubled over and naked

Eyes wild with the need of comfort

Heaving slow determine breaths

Heart almost bleeding at the thought of lost,

What if you didn’t come back?

No need, no want to move at all,

Feeling empty, lost everything again,

Why? It’s always me to turn them away,

I love him with everything

Why didn’t he stay?

With tears conjured by spells of dark,

Blurring my vision, to be left unfocused,

A voice crept out of dust,

“I’m sorry I’m late love.”
