Unfinished CoatingA Poem by Midnight_MaskYou can’t change the physics of life to get me to do your bidding.Metallic clicks echo throughout the golden room of glory, Sounding every snap and break in silence’s bones, piece by piece, And bulling hands to track over and over around a face; Hiding its plush cream polished coating. Now I think about it, I’m not much different from this clock. Marvelled wooden platting to finish the master piece, But inside, you can’t see how hard it is to work as wanted. Because the thing is, I’m not owned by anyone. no-one. So why are you trying to tinker me to do as command, If I tell you its 12 O’clock and you want 2, Then you’re clearly wrong, You can’t change the physics of life just to get me to do your bidding. So as you see, I’m alike a clock, Sounding out my laboured breathes as I work, That metallic clicking you find annoying. I can only follow what life expects out of me, And what I can reach with these ever working hands, Tracking down my life’s ambition. But this room I’m positioned in is now empting, I’m being left alone. I guess you didn’t like to look upon my unfinished coating, And accept me for who I am. © 2010 Midnight_MaskAuthor's Note
