...A Story by Midnight_MaskStory about Hoshi. A attack hits Kingdom Fendlum, without being prepared or testing their new experiment, Mages launch Hoshi into the past to warn them so they can be prepared, when something happens.
The rising sun is said to be a new start, to a new day. When its half way in the sky, it is the time people can see through you the most and when the sun is setting, its an ending of hope or despair.
It was always what Hoshi's Master told her when she was young. He was wise and still is for a matter of fact. Wears his light brown beard short and his hair a medium length. Even though his getting old, it didn't show in his face, even now as the light hit it in the halls of Guild Barde. The hall was long, made of bricks that marbled beautiful patterns within it's depth; Windows lining one side of the hall that looked over the hedged maze garden where students rushed their way to classes, following their Masters, or elder students that walked alone.
Hoshi turned her attention back to where she walked as she tripped over her cloak, her Maser glancing down a second to scowl her clumsiness and Hoshi composed herself so her back straightened up and her hands rested locked together in front of her.
"Remember to take it easy Hoshi," Her Master spoke over his shoulder, his voice deep, slightly higher then most of the old Masters here at the Guild of Barde.
Taking note, Hoshi marched on un-tucking her braided lock of hair from behind her ear; her hair length was shorter then her braided lock. The braid is a symbol to show Masters and Lords who are students and who are elder student. Hoshi is a student, soon to be elder student if she can prove her worth to the three Lords of the United Mage Guilds. If and when Hoshi becomes an elder student, her Master will cut off her braid out of honour of her becoming an elder and she'll be allowed to grow her hair out till at most shoulder length.
Coming up to huge double doors, Hoshi snapped her attention back, walking through the held open door by her Master and stood in the middle of a circular room, windows standing on the far wall of Hoshi in the circular shape of the room, directing the raising suns rays onto a long desk, bending to the shape of the far wall - arching in a semi circle.
Three Mages sat at the desk, the one sat in the middle known as Venti, the head Lord of Hendre. To his left Oika, the Lady of Norku and to his right, Drav Lord of Barde.
Hoshi has seen Drav from a distance before, stalking corridors and marching down hallways, always on the move; she just summed it up as him being busy. The other two Lords will only be seen here if there was any important issues and that was never, they normally stayed in there own Guilds where they are formed, in three parts of the Fendlum Kingdom.
Hoshi's Master stood by her side, "Lords and Lady." He said bowing his head slightly.
"Master Oban." Drav introduced to the other two Lords, gesturing at him with a hand.
"I've heard about you already Master." Venti replied, with a polite smile lighting his face.
If Venti heard about Master Oban, then Master must be important. Venti is rumoured to be the strongest Mage living, hence the reason he is the Lord of the main Guild - Hendre. He was also the only one other than herself to have blonde hair, with blue eyes to match. He was what Hoshi heard rumoured, a relaxed manor, young and handsome.
Shifting his gaze to Hoshi, his smile broadened "And you must be Sir Ai."
Sir? Being nudged by Master, Hoshi hurried a quick bow "Lord Venti, Lady Oika, Lord Drav." She bowed to each one individually when she called out their name.
"May you take your hood down please." Lord Venti asked politely and so Hoshi did so as fast as she could.
"Lord Venti, Hoshi is a girl." Master Oban informed the Lord and Venti cocked his head to the side as if trying to see her female features, squinting his eyes ever so slightly as if considering Master Oban was lying.
"Ah yes, it appears I have made a mistake," Lord Venti waved a hand as if dusting the problem away. "So Hoshi, is it? I see you are very gifted"
Hoshi has heard her Master tell her that he can feel her power before, but never seen. She was puzzled and it showed clearly on her face.
Venti laughed silently for a while, before explaining "Well child, you see that everyone in this room has brown hair" He waved a hand in a circle, gesturing to everyone and Hoshi nodded slightly for him to go on "And we do not" He pointed out "Well that's the mark of our power"
Hoshi has only heard once about this, it was in a book, 'History of Fendlum' she recalled it being titled. It was about when all those with blonde hair and blue eyes and had magic moved to the Kingdom of Fendlum, to escape times of war. Only a hand full of them had made it on their journey to Fendlum and was welcomed by the natives; who had brown hair and hazel eyes. As the years went on, they had offspring, mixing the blood streams and making it possible for these natives with brown hair and hazel eyes to have magic.
Hoshi nodded at the memory of the book "Lord Venti, are you suggesting that our blood lines are pure?" Only a hand full of blonde hair and blue eyed people kept the pure lines going, making them the strongest.
Venti thought a moment and then looked up to meet her eyes "It is a high possibility that we are" He spoke carefully.
Not many people remember their parents, except those who want to be a Mage, rather than being one by birth. If you was born with the power, Guild Mages come and take you while your young around the age of six, so it is easier to teach you, but those are young times and it was hard for Hoshi to remember her mother's and father's faces.
"Okay Hoshi, I'll like to see the source of your power to begin with please." Venti sat back watching with mild interest.
Hoshi held out her hands in front of herself as if cupping water within them and reached within herself. Searching within her mind, Hoshi found her Power Orb, the source of her power. It was like a ball of fire, burning like the sun, a yellowish colour and streams of blue liquid swelling within it.
Doing as she was taught by her Master, Hoshi summoned some of her power into a ball, hovering over her hands, looking similar to her Power Orb within her, but smaller.
Venti still leaning back watched while thinking, Hoshi just kept her ball hovering, slowly turning like a little planet. Oika sat forwards a little surprised "She's strong." Her mouth dropping open, but Hoshi knew that Lady Oika would think so, Lord Drav knew too, but Lord Drav also knew that Venti is expecting something stronger than the average student.
Soon a little smile touched Venti's face and he sat forwards "Yes she is Lady Oika, but it is typical of one with the gift."
"Is she...?" Oika asked, trailing off her sentence.
"No, don't be silly Lady Oika," Venti said looking jokey "Close." He sobered, becoming serious "But it all comes down to how she can use that power, rather than how much she has."
"Hoshi," Master Oban leant down whispering in her ear "You can stop now."
Hoshi didn't realise that as the conversation went on and got more intense that she continued supplying power to the ball of light, brightening it and making it unbearable to look at. So she retreated her power back into herself and the ball of light disappeared. Breathing out a deep breath and letting her arms swing back by her sides, Hoshi looked up at her Master, now standing straight and talking to the two Lords and Lady.
"...You don't suggest that we should let her dual with three elder students Lord Venti." Lady Oika was arguing.
They seemed to be in a little disagreement, so Master cut in "Lady and Lord, I have seen to it that Hoshi is most capable."
Oika looked sick.
"Actually, she has dual me on many occasions." That made Oika's eyes nearly pop out and she seemed on the urge to faint.
"Master Oban, you're not telling me that you actually have dual with a student. Isn't there a rule against that or something?" Lady Oika blurted out crazed, clearly worried and looking to Lord Drav for help.
Drav tried to settle everything now "I allow them to train." But it didn't help. Lady Oika was drove more insane with worry, making Lord Drav regret saying anything at all.
"It's impossible for me to let Hoshi practice with anyone else. It's okay though, Master Oban is my best instinct rider" Drav continued.
Hoshi didn't know exactly what an instinct rider was, Master told her of it some time ago. 'Hoshi, there's a difference in our blood types. There are two types of families. Hatikan, the family with blonde hair and blue eyes, like yourself and there is Dredac, the family with brown hair and hazel eyes, like me. After some of the Hatikan family had babies with the Dredac family, the Dredac blood took affect with the magic and instead of being magic, became instinct' Hoshi never really understood it, but it was what she was taught.
"Interesting." Lord Venti said to himself "Hoshi, I'll like to dual you." He spoke smiling.
Hoshi was allowed to refuse him, but most people didn't back down from a dual. She has only won two out of five times when fighting Master Oban, but he liked to fight like Mages normally do, shooting energy balls at each other and deflecting the others attack. Hoshi found this boring, she preferred to fight with either swords as battle mages or in their animal form as battle demons. Hoshi learnt by herself that she can shape-shift into an animal, she just imagined that everyone could, but apparently they can't.
"Lord Venti, I don't think this is the best of times, but I don't deny you your right to challenge." Master Oban interrupted Hoshi's thoughts.
Venti's stare still locked onto Hoshi "Yes I'm sorry. After Hoshi's examination, we'll dual. That's if you accept."
Hoshi had to quickly decide, quickly scanning the faces of everyone in the room. Lady Oika's on nerve expression, Lord Drav's easy going entertained face, Master Oban's hard to read facial expression and lastly Lord Venti's emotionless stare, making Hoshi feel intimidated.
"I accept Lord Venti." Hoshi spoke, trying to shake the nerves so her voice didn't sound shaky.
"Alright, tomorrow at noon, we'll dual" Lord Venti announced, clearly excited.
Lord Drav turned to look at him "You're staying the night, Lord?"
As the two Lord's exchanged sentences, Lady Oika stood up "Thank you for coming, we'll shortly be with you at the arena, please leave now." She said politely, ushering them out with a hand waving to the door.
Hoshi followed her Master out of the room and walked by his side, as they tracked back down the marbled hallway.
Walking into the arena, trailing behind her Master, Hoshi noticed the arch that represented the entrance. There was no need for doors, considering the arena was protected by magic.
As she entered the large room, it opened up for her. A high ceiling that allowed countless of seats to over look it as if it were a theatre and all centred to a stage in the middle, which everyone knew as the arena. There was no cage or barrier to protect the audience from the energy that the mages released, but a invisible shield that oval in the shape of the building and ceiling, even though Hoshi couldn't see it, see knew it was there and could feel it; every magic had an imprint, like leaving a finger print on something you touched, magic was the same like that.
Young mages' was dualing in the arena as Hoshi and Master Oban walked towards the two figures examining the effort that they put into it. Hoshi wasn't paying attention to them though, she was too busy making sure her posture was well and that her mind was set and ready.
As student and Master approached, Lord Venti turned around noticing them; Hoshi just excused that he must have heard there boats squeak against the smooth floor.
"Ah, Master Oban and here's young Hoshi." Venti greeted, Lord Drav turned around, not expecting Hoshi and her Master's arrival.
Glancing at the students the Lord wants her to duel, Hoshi spotted Dwen Berpper. He has always despised Hoshi, she don't know the reasons, but doesn't really care. His Master is Master Gorji, Dwen's uncle and Master Oban's old 'mate'. Master Gorji always got Dwen caught up in his challenges with Master Oban and inevitably dragging Hoshi into it as well.
It seems that Dwen has inherited his spirit for challenging and hate from his uncle and unleashed it onto Hoshi. She thought it unfair and bothersome, there was no need for him to challenge her twenty four seven, over stupid things such as answering a question first or even being the tallest.
"Ready Hoshi?" Venti asked smiling warmly, a reinsurance that Hoshi didn't expect to see.
She knew she was ready, but somewhere inside her was tingling either from anxiety or dread. "Yes Lord Venti." Hoshi gave a quick short bow.
"Good." Venti said.
Lord Drav was getting the student challengers to stand ready. The three chose their formation tacticlelly and in Hoshi's mind idiotic, but didn't dare say a word, it'll just be easier for her. Lord Venti shared a secret moment, a look as if he just read her mind and agreed.
Ascending the few steps up onto the arena, Hoshi quickly glanced down at her Master who now stood ground next to the two Lords and then she glanced over to the otherside of the arena where she knew Master Gorji stood. The moment he heard about Hoshi's examinations, Master Gorji wanted to incourage falure and for Hoshi to fail, is for her Master to fail.
Taking her posistion on one of the two small circles drawn into the dirty looking sand with white paint. Her challengers stood in a triangle around her. Easy, Hoshi repeated to herself.
"Okay, team one, are you ready?" Venti asked in a Lord's voice rather then the friendly reinsurance Hoshi got.
"Yes Lord." The challengers said as one, confidence in their voice.
Obviously they found comfort in numbers, but Hoshi knew the other two students, one of them an elder which she didn't expect. She faced the elder student head on, his name was Fuderrance Kilddern a strong student as far as Hoshi heard, his hair ruffed a light brown and his eyes a dark blue, with greenish brown streeks dotting through the iris. To Hohsi's left, nearly behind her were Tiffanti Marksy a student going to have her examinations soon too and a top grader in tests, but Hoshi didn't know if she scored high in the arena, Hoshi was always removed from class activities that envolved dueling and forced to duel her Master instead because his the only one who can take her on apparently. To Hoshi's right Dwen stood with a grin on his face, him and Tiffanti had brown hair and hazel eyes, but Tiffanti hid her emotions and so did Fuderrance.
"Hoshi, are you ready?"
"Yes Lord."
That instinct, Hoshi threw up a shield to protect herself, no-one moved though, they all just stood there in their spots they chose. It was a stand out, Hoshi refused to relax, 'Always stay on edge' her Master taught her.
Staring into Fuderrance's emotionless eyes Hoshi waited. It was a stare down and Hoshi will win. The air almost sizzle with Hoshi's concentration, seconds could of merely past and yet they felt like hours. A slight flinch broke Fuderrance's posture as he galnced slightly past Hoshi, she knew it.
Letting her shield strengthen, as she powered up a couple of energy balls, lornching them at Dwen, he just couldn't wait. Hoshi set her plan simple, a strong energy ball with a weaker one infront to mask the strength of it. As Dwen's energy ball clashed into Hoshi's shield, she felt another energy ball but from a different angle. Fuderrence tried to take oppitunity of the distraction. Allowing her shield to drop Hoshi jumped to the left slightly now looking back at Fuderrance, his first missed, but he took another oppertunity and laurnched another load, fanning them out to cover more space and prevent Hoshi from dodging.
Before the energy balls gain too much ground, Hoshi created a special energy ball and sent it on its way for Fuderrance, predicting he'll hold out the first with his shield, Hoshi sent two more following.
Fuderrance's energy balls enclosed onto Hoshi, the one energy ball that'll hit her was dead in front of her and before Hoshi let another breath be drawn, she blasted a short fuse of energy like flares to defuse the energy ball before it could reach its destination. The others continued flying past and beyond her, before Fuderrance could defuse all of the tracking energy balls he was down, like Dwen and as Hoshi glanced over her shoulder she spotted Tiffanti standing shell shocked not moving, not even a shield to save her.
Reaching out a hand towards Tiffanti as if going to launch another energy ball, Hoshi created a fist and all the energy balls heading for Tiffanti from Fuderrance's earlier attempt burst right in front of her face, causeing her to faint. The other energy balls continued until they found the arena's shield, as they collided, an electric sound zoomed through the high ceiling room and then silence.
Glancing around now, Hoshi found Master Gorji white as a sheet, Master Oban looking as if he made a mistake, when it was actually the challengers who done that and the two Lords trading their views of the short duel and how long they believed it took. those two acted like children which weren't something Hoshi thought she'll be comparing them with when she met them.
Returning to the main floor to where the Lords and her Master stood, while a couple of healers checked the challengers.
"Ah Hoshi, what a proformance." Lord Venti complemented.
"Thank you Lord." Hoshi said, bowing her hurried bow.
"I look forward to our duel," Venti grinned "I hope you're good with a sword."
Hoshi's eyes twinkled, now she felt better about the deul. Master Oban taught her a bit about the sword and it was an art that she wishes she'll be able to master.
"Yep." Hoshi nodded, showing her childish bliss.
"Okay Lords, please excuse me and Hoshi as we must rest, then have dinner" Master Oban interupted.
"Oh, yes of couse Master Oban. Don't forget to bring her back after then so we can finish the ceremony." Lord Venti smiled.
"Of course Lord," Master bowed his head and Hoshi rushed another bow "Thank you and see you later."
Turning, as a pair they traveled down the arena's hallway exit and into the daylight of outside. The grounds were beautiful, covered in lush green grass with neat hedges hugging close to the main building. Flower beds dressed the lawns and a small garden maze layed off to the right; the main buildings left wing. But it was the main building that held the grand stage, bricks a creamish pink colour and marbled pillers holding up arche ways. Grand doors at the front of the main building stood tall and made out of either oak or mahogany or even both. However, Hoshi isn't the best at identifing tree types.
To the far side of the main building, on its left wing towered a four story dormitory, it was big enough to house almost every student, elder student and master. Normally Masters and their student can share rooms, due to the fact that Masters are nearly certain to be the same gender as the student, to help the training and also the students education in their growning up. Because students are taken away at young ages, their parents don't get to teach them about things that'll happen as they grow into puberty. So in matching Master and student by gender helps the student better understand the way of life.
Hoshi however was positioned under Master Oban, the case was because Hoshi was stronger than a ordenary student they told her, so she had to have their best instinct rider so she can learn quick and more sufficient than having a normal Master. So Hoshi accepted Master, learning more than she thought possible and finding out some things about herself by herself.
"Master, what are you displeased in?" Hoshi asked in a low voice, staring at her feet prodding along.
At the corner of her eye, she could see him look down at her for a short gaze, as if telling her by reading each others minds, which as far as Hoshi knew was impossible.
"Nothing Hoshi," Master turned his attention back to where he was walking. "It's just that you're going to be an elder student soon I suppose and then you won't need me much anymore." Master Oban wasn't one to cry, but it seemed as if there could be that twist in his voice that tells others that their on edge to.
Allowing a little smile touch her face, Hoshi giggled slightly. Master looked down at her then, "I'll always need you Master, even when I become a Master."
That's when he joined in with the laughter, but his was a inside laugh. Either way, he was laughing and Hoshi felt better.
"That's true Hoshi, Master Hoshi." He laughed again, "Ah, you'll make a good Master. A easy going one like how Lord Drav and Venti is, but a good Master."
They just walked down the path that took them towards the dornmatries in silence. It was nice that way, with the breeze brushing past their faces and the twitter of small birds churping in the nearby gardens.
For some odd reason Hoshi felt uneasy.
Clouds dimmed the sky a dirty grey and the smell of moisture was thick in the air, it was going to rain soon and Hoshi felt a deep untamed power rumble within the depths of the clouds.
"It's going to be bad weather tonight." Hoshi said aloud as if just thinking to herself.
Oban sat in a chair apart of the gathered few around a fireplace, confined within the small but generous space of Master Oban's guest room.
Master laughed inwardly before sipping some of his tea and setting the little tea cup back on the short table making a small chimming clatter sound throughout the room, "You always come in handy when it comes down to the weather Hoshi," stopping to silently laugh again, "Too bad we got the rest of your ceremony later so we can't advoid it" Hoshi turned away from the window to see Oban frowning slightly at the thought.
"Master?"
"Yes Hoshi?" Oban asked intrigued.
"I was wondering why Lord Venti and Lady Oika was doing here in Barde." Hoshi stood there, not moving and wearing a plain face showing no emotion, just emotionless eyes staring straight ahead at Oban.
"Err...Well, I believe they just wanted to visit Barde or to visit Drav to exchange infomation about research they might be following out," Taking another sip of tea Master Oban used the excuse to turn his gaze away and release them from Hoshi's stare "No-one at the guild knows, it must be private Hoshi. Anyway..." Oban looked back up at Hoshi after placing the cup of tea on the table again, only to find that she wasn't there, window wide open and the door to his rooms swinging open still.
Master Oban sighed to himself.
Hoshi ran down the prolix hallways of the guilds dormitory and nearly strummbled over her own feet as she rushed down the flight of stairs to the ground floor. Bursting out the front doors in a fight for breathes, Hoshi started down the path leading down the side of the dormitory to find Lord Venti walking towards her.
Yes, I made it just in time.
"Ahhh, Hoshi," Venti smiled in greeting as Hoshi hurried a quick bow "I've been meaning to speak with you, do you have a moment?"
Unexpecting Venti wanting to speak with herself, Hoshi nodded quickly and fell into step with Lord Venti. They walked through the maze, slowly walking past other little sitting areas and finding them all empty, satisfied now they found a empty little sitting area in the centre of the huge garden, Hoshi looked around to find Lord Venti opening out a hand to display the benches in a offer, so she sat, whereas Venti remained standing.
"Congratulation on passing the student exdaminations" Lord Venti offered in a awkward congratulation.
"Thanks Lord Venti" Hoshi nodded her gratitude, she had doubts that she'll pass and was relieved to know before walking into the judgement of her closing of the examination.
Awkward silence fell for a while.
"Hmmm...Hoshi," Venti stood, a hand stroking his chin in thought and the other holding its opposites elbow as if its helping him keep it up. "Do you know about the Hatikan's history?"
A little caught off guard Hoshi thought back. "Well I know that the Hatikan family are of pure blood, having blond hair and blue eyes. They travelled to Fendlum where the Dredac family - brown hair and hazel eyes - lived."
Sighing Venti shook his head "Do you know why the Hatikan family fleed?" "Well yeah, 'cause of war." "Good, now tell me why would such a powerful family who weild great magic, flee?" Venti was closer now and serious, it scared Hoshi, making her feel uneasy. Hoshi's blood was racing now, breathing quickened and her eyes never left Venti's. In the distance within the dark, light flashed before disapearing as fast as it apeared and shortly afterwards a faint crackle of thunder was heard, followed by the pitter patter of rain drops flooding to the floor and dampening Hoshi's hair, but not once did she break the stare.
What is he on about? He must have been thinking about this for some time now. But why ask me? Breathing more even now, Hoshi swolloed.
"Why are you asking me Lord Venti?"
"Isn't it obvious Hoshi?" He stood there, each word he spoke carefully and carmly, but yet still he seemed as if he nearly was going to burst out of furry and set the whole maze on fire. Instead he placed a hand gently on Hoshi's arm and she hesitated to move "I believe you're a true Hatikan." Venti spoke in a near whisper.
Hoshi couldn't believe what he just said, herself a Hatikan? It was too good to be true.
"B-but how?" Hoshi was dumb founded.
"Well I found this technique that I believe only true Hatikan's can do. And I believe that you can do it to Hoshi." Venti beamed at her, as if she was his only hope.
"Well, since I was young, I found that I could shape shift into a creature, but kept it to myself. Classes at the guild didn't teach anything of the sort and none of my class mates had blonde hair and blue eyes," He went from crouching down to her height, to sitting on the bench next to her, not once breaking the eye contact - he seemed fasinated to talk about it as if it was a secret he was forbidden to tell and after ten years of silence, felt no need to hold onto it. "When I saw you the day you walked into Barde Guilds main office, I felt something. Your power is different from the others and also only slightly different from mine, but it was like I felt a connection." Staring into Venti's stuning blue eyes, Hoshi couldn't find the breath to speak. Everything was going all too fast for her to get her thoughts together."Well, what is it this technique?" Hoshi was intrigued, she hadn't the slightest idea what Lord Venti was talking about. "But Lord Venti, what does all this have to do with the Hatikans?" Hoshi asked, her voice trembling ever so slightly. Before Venti could reply, the sky ruptured in a deafening noise that echoed as it slowly silenced. With the sound of the rain pattering as it hit the floor in a rhythmic dance, Hoshi's heart joined in beat and neither of Hoshi or Venti made a sound. "What unusual thunder." Venti thought aloud. Another booming noise erupts and Hoshi turns to Venti, jumping at him with eyes wide with terror, "That's not thunder. Get down!" As the sound whistled, a blinding light shot across the sky, sizzling and crackling as it past over head of Hoshi and Venti, who lay on the ground holding their heads protectively. "They're here." Lord Venti's voice bit the air venomously as he rose to tower tall again. "Who's here?" Hoshi asked, confused and frightened. "Let's go! We need to warn the others." As the two mages ran out of the maze, Lord Venti holding Hoshi's hand and pulling her with him under a protective arm. Another light shot cried into the air before crashing into the guilds arena, tearing into it a huge hole and sending debris flying. "Okay Hoshi," Lord Venti crouched to stare into her eyes "If anything happens, in the main hall, Lord Drav has set up a device," He hurried every word out so quickly that Hoshi struggled to follow. "This device will warn us of what was going to happen, we can stop this." Everything didn't make sense to Hoshi, it seemed that the words were all jumbled up. "But what about you? Why are you telling me this?" Hoshi's breath coming in harsh slow pulls. Ignoring the question asked of him, Lord Venti stood up tall and stared at the main guild building. Soldiers wearing unusual tight clothing that clung to this toned bodies, wearing matching helmet designed in the same weird style. All of the soldiers were holding weapons Hoshi had never seen before; long block shaped, with buttons and markings all over. "Hoshi," Lord Venti asked without moving his stare off the scattered men ahead. "Take this with you. Never lose it or let anyone take it from you - ever." He tossed a small item that she had to stumble to catch. "With your life Hoshi." Lord Venti started towards the small army blocking their path, "Now go, I'll hold these off." Staring down at the beautiful necklace curled up in her palm so delicate. The pendant a small gold cube and on one of the faces rested a tiny crystal burning a bright blue. Hoshi nods her head at Venti's back, determination burning throughout her thoughts. Without a second wasted, Hoshi throws the necklace around her neck secured and started running across the field. As she felt her feet ache with the need to go faster - Hoshi shifts. Her body instantly pulled into a crouch as her arms became from legs and her face feels stretched as she becomes aware of her snout. Body feeling free as her slender cat like frame dances around the soldiers and her leopard elegance as she climbs and then crouches, over and under threats. Spotting Lord Venti fighting through the crowd, dodging the weapons that fired magic orbs and the burning swords that admitted light from their core. In between jumping out of the way of magic shots and dodging, Hoshi watched Lord Venti glide with beautiful ease, using magic shields to protect his back as he battered his way in advance forward. Pulling herself away from his glorious figure, Hoshi concentrated on rushing to the guild, she had to find help for Lord Venti. As she marched down the marble floors towards the main hall, she found Lord Drav, his eyes questioning. "Venti?" He moved slightly closer curiously. Only then did Hoshi realise she was still in her leopard form and let it drop so she could stand on two feet again. "Oh Hoshi, where's Lord Venti?" Lord Drav seemed to brush away the whole unusual affair of her running around as a animal and stabbed right at the problem - that surprised and caught her off-guard.
