Dreams, Memories and Love

Dreams, Memories and Love

A Poem by Midnight_Mask

It's funny how life gets hard,
With dreams that don't fit our past,
Memories everyone wish to fade away,
Crushing us every single day.
Don't think about it they say.
But there's always one that say one thing and mean another,
Then there's one that say one thing to your face and another when I'm not there,
Leaving a thousand knifes left in my back.
They claim to be protecting me,
What an irony.

Time changes or wastes,
We need to make more of ourselves,
Fight off our fears and battle our demons.
Drawing ranged weapons of all sorts,
We all stand up strong and tall,
As an army in an orderly fashioned line.
Preparing.
Aiming.
FIRE!
A hundred arrows fly threw the air,
Cutting downwards and sent those there,
Into dis-pear.

Am I evil?
Am I crawl?
Don't answer that,
Because how will you know?
Always pretending you know me,
Pretending you care.
I can't take it any-more,
I give into the night,
Let it take me into the disappearing dreams,
Of angels,
And pretty fairies,
I can't forget those elves.

I say my goodbyes,
I give in tonight,
Maybe tomorrow I'll try,
But this moment in time,
I want to dream...
...Be free.
