Trapped

On their way to find the Tainted Soul, the three friends come face to face with a destroyed city. Only powerful Souls can do such things, but little did they know that magic will falter.

Yuki squinted her eyes and used her hand to block the light,

Trying to see but I knew she wouldn't,

"I don't see anything Kame, are you sure"

She asked a little childish like any time before,

"Yes of course Yuki-San"

"I see it too" Yoki backed up,

Defeated Yuki stood quiet,

We waited for her word "Okay"

And then we ran off in a race,

Me and Yoki.

Yuki took to the sky,

Not caring if she went too high,

At times like these her face turned serious,

Dismissing her child like self,

Cast away by hidden thoughts.

We gained ground and nearly reached the destroyed city,

Yoki drew his sword, My dual weapons followed his lead,

Then suddenly,

Yuki falls to the floor, gasping and groaning

Asking for help.

Yoki already at her side,

Pulling her up and launched me a look,

Cold, direct, broken my guard,

Yuki being supported with her arm around his shoulder,

His around her waist and they still pulled closer.

I'm stroke from behind, gushing with pain,

I grope at the floor trying to get up.

Like lightening it paralysed me there,

useless, defenceless.

Yoki weren't expecting anything like this.

He placed Yuki down on the ground nicely,

With his sword drew he took his stance,

legs shoulder width apart and both hands held the blade firm,

"I know your there Soul!" He shouted out into the darken tunnel before us,

The tunnel allowed his voice to echo on.

"Face me!" He shouted again,

A evil laugh emerges and another bolt strikes my back,

Making me scream painfully,

As tears start to stream,

I bit my lip preparing for another bolt.

"Kame" Yoki's voice shakes,

"I'm okay-AHH!" I reply, 

With my guard down another bolt hit,

And I nearly fall into a dream,

"Kame!" Yoki screams again.

The evil laugh appears then,

"I'm just getting started, Yoki is it?"
