I've Just Realised

I've only realised I've always been on the chase,

Lungs heaving from the pace,

Heart racing desperate,

And you're still strolling off in the warmth of sun.

Even when times became tough,

Deciding I've had enough,

Walking away from your paradise,

Realising you've said your goodbyes.

So I've realised how I've always been on the run,

But here I now stand, numb.

You've been too busy with your own world,

Letting me chase you into hell.

Well now; I'm done with the run,

I'm through with chasing someone

Who's chasing lacks.

I'm done with all this stress,

I'm through with the pain of life,

Just let me rest.
