Midnight Stranger

Midnight Stranger

A Poem by MidnightLace
"

I wrote this poem way back when I was 19, in the Army, stationed in Germany. I suppose this was my first foray into erotic writing though very subtle.

"

MIDNIGHT STRANGER

As I lay upon my bed to sleep

I hear the gentle lapping of the waves

As a breeze rustles through the curtains of my open window

I feel a gentle caress upon my cheek

And a kiss upon my lips so soft and sweet

A breeze washing over my body

Feels like fingers dancing on my skin

I awaken to find I am alone

Or did my midnight stranger come calling once again

I lay my head upon my pillow

Waiting for his return

You managed to paint a very good scene with room for the reader to make their own interpretations almost without realization. This piece has a very subdued yet deceptive style, I really enjoyed working my mind in to the words.

This is fantastic! It is very beautiful and eerie at the same time.

Awwwww ! What a disappointment, a romantic night,
a gentle breeze, the touch of lips and awake to find it
only a dream.
I love the great story told with an economy of words.
It is always so refreshing to read a long and moving story
told in just a few words. Few people can manage this style,
but you have done it well.
Thank YOu !
