Seven YearsA Poem by Midnight's MistressFour girls he met, and touched their hearts. Now he has been gone seven years, and they need his helpWhere is my husband? I gave him my stone! Seven years have gone by, And I am still alone. The stone is my mother's I shouldn't have given it so freely. But now that He ruins our home, It is costing us all so dearly. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ He has been gone for so long, Seven years have gone by It would feel like it to us, If Time ever went by. I have not aged, My hair is still green, The girl still sits on the roof and Mido is still a jerk. But without our Tree to protect us all, Him and His monsters stay in shadows and lurk. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ It seems not that long ago that he was here, Playing his wooden ocarina as I sung him a song. My mother taught it to me when she was still around. Everynight that I sing it, I feel nothing can go wrong. Yet things have gone wrong, for my dad is gone, And Mr. Ingo hurts the horses if I disobey. I wish the boy would come play with me again. For even if He rules, our song keeps my fears at bay ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Seven years ago, I had a dream Of thunder, darkness, and a single beam of light Then the fairy boy came to my home, secretly, And he swore to me that he would always fight. Seven years later, we met once again. My harp is followed by his blue ocarina. He knows it is not I, and that is for the better, For I may only help is if He thinks I'm a Sheikah ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Seven years ago, we each met him, With his green tunic and instrutment. He talked to us each in turn and listened. When he had vanished, He made his ascent. Our homes are tainted, nothing we can do As He takes our homes and uses them for stools. We pray to the goddesses for him to return, With sword and shield to save Hyrule.
