Differences

Differences

A Poem by Midnight96

As I turn to look at you,

you turn away,

At one point in time we were close,

as we got older we started changing.

You saw how I was growing,

that you weren't the same or "mormal".

Taking your anger and jealousy out on me.

Your envy got the best of you.

All you are now is miserable and negative.

I want to be a good "big sister",

I'm just not good enough for you.

People say that you are my sister,

that I should be nice and look after you.

How can I do that if you won't let me?

Dad and his family don't see your disability in you,

all in denial about who you really are,

the challenges you face everyday.

I wish I could take your life so you could be happy.

I see in your eyes that you are suffering from sadness.

As time goes I hope you understand that this isn't my fault.

So please don't take this out on me.

You are my only sister.

even if I do say that I hate you,

there is always a special place in my heart for you.
