All I can think of is you.

All I can think of is you.

A Poem by Gray
"

Death.

"
The pipes are leaking
the house needs a roof
the cars not starting
the bills are all due
all in all, it's just terrible news
Yet all I can think of is you.

Nothing is cooking
the microwave blew
there's wet mail sitting
on the rain-soaked stoop
My back has been aching
I can't find my shoe
yet all I can think of is you.

Life's not meant to be perfect
Murphy's law still applies
Yet each time I start reminiscing
It's for sure I'll be drying my eyes.

A wilting flower passed away
from an unexpected flu
The doctor said it's too late
there's nothing he can do
It seems like only yesterday
I had to start anew
now all I think of is you.

How sad it is when you want to be with some one and all you are left with are bittersweet memories. Great read.

I love this poem. It's lyrical, with wonderful flow and rhythm. I love the format you used...and I love your repeating line. It's poignant, but there is a lightness to it, as well. The words express our average hectic day...and yet while we should be caught up in it all...the thoughts of the one we miss are always there...the feelings expressed here are universal..and yet so deeply personal for each individual. I love how you expressed it. This is a great piece. Kudos.

Aw! So sad, yet sweet. I love the rhyme you've got going, it's perfect. Losing someone is hard, continuing on with life after is even more difficult :( BUT not impossible, thankfully

Bittersweet. I lost two friends this past week, one to a brain aneurysm and one to acute myeloid leukemia. Even though it wasn't romantic relationships, they are all I have thought of. My heart aches for their families. Then I had a major blowout with someone I am very close to. It is hard to lose someone whether through death, divorce, or a disagreement. Great splash on ink!~

This is very beautiful in a sad sort of way. the heartache and pain of missing someone. It can take a while to get back on one's feet and live again.

This is very well written.
