Swansong

Swansong

A Poem by Midnight Mortem

The evening air is warmer now...
The chill breath of Winter fading away
As the swans overhead return with the Spring.
And with their passing, a whisper lingers
On the changing breeze: one swan's song,
A last lament before the month of May,
When five lost daughters are finally reclaimed...
