Fire SkyA Poem by Heart Of A WolfA woman to her husband in his final years. The sky's blazing rays of firery ember, Creeping behind october's browning trees. I watch you staring towards Heaven, Wondering what it is you see.
The sun seeks ever lower, Looking for rest with the dying day. Not much longer winter will come And you will silently go away.
Your blue eyes look a little grayer, Not quiet as vibrant as they used to be. I try not the think of the future, But the end is all i see.
Nature looks so alive and free But soon the bleakness will come. Then you will slowly fade away As tonight, so will the sun. © 2008 Heart Of A WolfReviews
