Thanks to the police, paramedics, nurses, and doctors who saved my son one fateful night. It changed our lives in one way and another
The police came knocking at half past one Your son is dying they said Stabbed they said I felt so frozen inside, dead And there he lay Covered in blood With wounds all over He tried to kill me, he said He stabbed me in the back, he said Fear and anger warred inside I hated this unknown then Prayers were answered that day After surgery, he’s still here Looking at me, tubes in his chest Do you know how lucky he is? They said An inch higher and we couldn’t have saved him , they said As it is he has fourteen wounds Lungs, liver, kidney, tendons all cut But he’s still here still fighting and a very lucky young man He could have died that day It changed us both forever! Thank you so very much For saving my son
Gone are the days when you could cuff someone around the ear and then forget about it. Today it seems every man and his dog is armed with a knife, just in case....
So glad that the young fella survived.

Thanks, yes it's almost as the youngsters don't value life anymore
You got completely out the way & let this powerful story tell itself, which is what very smart writers do! Wow! I gather this must be autobiographical . . . you dragged us thru it intensely . . . yet it's hard not to admire your thankful spirit in the end (((HUGS)))
