Lost

I lost my self
somewhere here
somewhere there
a loss so deep
it shattered my soul
broke me,
I gathered the pieces
and stuck them back together
but now i’m different
altered
never to be the same
i’m still a mother,daughter, wife
and the essence of her
she
me
is still the same

I am first of all
a women
and I am strong
never will I understand why
you stole those years
shattering
me
but I recovered
dug deep
became someone new
a survivor
and here i am,
here i am !
just
me
