Misunderstanding

Misunderstanding

A Poem by Lisa C
"

A misunderstanding turns to anger and something else ;-)

"

Your irritation, somehow gave me satisfaction
as I poked and prodded you
your fury intensified at my glee
happiness turned to disgust
a bitter taste on my tongue

our discomfort filled us with sorrow
and passion gave no joy
as the silence surrounded us
we watched each other with wary eyes
mistrust a sourness in the air

Sorry came from nowhere
lighting up that glint in your eyes
a smile started then
it tugged sharply at your lips
as you caught my playfulness

your laugh a melody in the air
eyes lit up with delight
your face glowing with happiness
at last, misunderstanding flown
clearing minds and freeing hearts

I liked the flow of thoughts leading to a happy ending.
"your laugh a melody in the air
eyes lit up with delight
your face glowing with happiness
at last, misunderstanding flown
clearing minds and freeing hearts"
The above lines. Kind, sweet and hopeful. Thank you dear Lisa for sharing the amazing poetry.
