Forgotten Pain

Forgotten Pain

A Poem by Middling

Life seems to have ground to normallity

Going on at a sound, steady pace,

but i've gone off track once again

as i rounded the corner,

and found an unfamilliar friendly face.

And back to me, all the familliar pain,

To me all had seemed so plain

and no longer was my heart strained

until one suttle moment came

and all the pain left me lame.

It seems unescapable and inexplicable,

how does this life seem palpable

when i cannot seek what i strife,

when thinking only makes me weak

and of a sinking feeling i do reak.

We can feel so lost in our own despair sometimes that we lose all sight of hope and become caught up in a rather pained, but otherwise mundane existence. This is the hopelessness i saw captured within these three stanzas.

A poem with little hope and possibility. Life can leave us disappointed. Hard to find real reasons to feel content. Strong statements and story made poem a pleasure to read. A excellent poem.

this has all the charactaristics of a sonnet, I really liked the flow and feel,
the word play is clever, its a poet's poem, awsome job.
