I love you

I love you

A Poem by Orlando Wynn

You say I wouldn't know
But that couldn't be much farther than the truth
I've fallen for things I could never notice in a person before
I admire your imperfections as much as your attributes
Your temper turns me on
Your boldness lights up my soul
You have the ability to move on wards,
Regardless of the situation
Your words truly inspire me
If only more people could do the same
It probably seems as if I couldn't care sometimes
Truth is, I've never felt this way before
Sometimes it's hard to relate or tell what I'm feeling
And I'm always at a loss for words
I'm always holding myself back
I don't want what I say to fall on deaf ears
Always holding back on saying,
I love you.

I like this piece and the honesty that accompanies it. Sometimes we believe it is safer to keep our feelings to ourselves so that we don't get hurt. Falling in love is wonderful but scary and it can be uncertain at times. Great write!

You are welcome :-)
I like how honest this poem is. It's very real and down-to-earth and honest. You said exactly what you meant without anything figurative and usually in poetry I don't like that, but you made it work perfectly for your piece.
