Angel

Angel

A Story by MickeyM

I climbed the vines on the side of her house so I could peer through her window to watch her while she slept. She was always so beautiful and peaceful then, whenthe world couldn't hurt her.

Her parents had forbidden me from seeing her, but when I heard she was hurt I simply could not stay away. She slept on her bed looking pale, exahusted and very cold. her lips were tinted blue, her eyes had deep shaddows under them. My heart lurched at the sight of my love lying there so unprotected, so exposed, and in so much pain.

Not wanting to controll myself anymore, I slowly opened her window and crawled into her bed. Subconciously she snuggled into me, her weak breath gaining strength, her shivers calming. I wrapped my arms around her, tight and protective. She was so cold, but every second I was there she grew warmer. Gently, she stirred in her sleep and murmured my name.

"Yes?" I whispered. Again she mumnbled something. My brain couldnt make out the words, but my heart felt them.

"I love you too, Angel."
