There are Times

There are days

When I can relate to rain clouds

When my eyes reflect their grey frowns

And every drop is a hidden tear 

That pulls me down

That steals my breath

That makes me drown

There are nights

When the stars cease to shine

When there's no home to find

So I wander alone

Chanting "I'm fine"

Only myself to hold

Struggling to survive

There are months

When my hope is just long gone

When it gets harder and harder to keep holding on

And my world crashes down

So my heart lacks a song

So my poems don't rhyme

And the darkness beats the dawn

I'm sorry but

There are times

When I just can't give you what you want

When I just can't seem to smile

So please

Just let me cry for a while.

I hate someone as nice and beautiful as you "Cry" .. Don't cry but smile... because your smile's what that spread the color into the world to make it more beautiful living. As a 'fly' spreads the colors with her beautiful wings just as same as a 'beautiful smooth lovely and marvelous fly' you too keep spreading the scent of yours around here to let every-one know how beautiful and worthy you are.

An other piece that's touched my heart and your rhythm is what that kept in touch of your this lovely write to read amazingly. Lovely poem but don't cry, tears don't suite on your bright face but smile does.

I think this is beautiful - a well delivered display of emotion when things just aren't quite right and you're having one of those down days or times in life...
Really liked the imagery in this especially in the first stanza.

Life tends to be cruddy sometimes. The best thing to do is to just let it all out. Hide away for a while and just be alone. Too bad this "alone" thing doesn't always work. :(

I scanned a few of your pieces...I tend to know what I like and don't like quite quickly...this one caught me because of the opening words 'when I can relate to rain clouds'.
a write with sad tone but it is touching...

Great poem. It was very expressive with its words and the athmosphere it created greatly matches the theme. Though, the rhythm seems a bit jumpy. But all in all, it is a great piece. This deserve a thumbs up.
Also, I can. Sympathize you on having a bad day. Basically almost everyone can, but I feel I get more of it then anyone else. Anyways, good piece.

Good description of how life can be sometimes. One of the best things of writing is it's a good way to vent out the blues (hence the invention of the blues). I always like to make a suggestion in my reviews. All I can think of is some of you repetitive lines might sound better without that part of them. For instance "That pulls me down, Steals my breath, Makes me drown." It's a little faster paced, almost steals the breath away from the reader. Makes it more real, that make sense?

I enjoyed the beginning of the verses, it ties the poem together nicely. Maybe use the same for the last... I really liked that aspect of it.

I also like the last line, it's a very good last line. It really sums up "one of those days" nicely. Sometimes, people just need to cry a little and get all the frustrations of life out. Good poem.
