In the Company of RainA Poem by Lost in Wonderland
Can you taste it in the air?
The storm on yonder horizon Painting the world a grey and dismal vision. Birds cease their flight to stare. Shall I dance, would I dare? My lover a rich man's son... If I bid him, would he come? 'Tis doubtful with his many affairs. Which leaves me to wander alone, Enveloped by this sympathetic rain Grieving with me as I ponder his lies. It's watery embrace makes me feel welcome, known, For I know no other but the birds hear my desperate cries While I whither away in this silent pain. © 2013 Lost in WonderlandAuthor's Note
