Dancing in the Sand

Dancing in the Sand

A Poem by Lost in Wonderland
"

A romantic fantasy...oh if only <3

"

Do you think we could run away?

Escape the impossibility of our love

Forget all complications

Throw caution to the wind

And just...go with it?

Won't you please swoop into my reality

And take me away to a lovely dream

Where I can feel the warm caress of your hand

As we dance barefoot in the sand

And get butterflies

A bubbly feeling that's aroused inside

When your gentle lips meet mine

And when I get lost in your deep, brown eyes

Free falling in a spiral of ardor

Laughing, smiling, playing

Acting like children and true loves

All at once

Apart from our past sins

And in a place of pure bliss

Filled with soft embraces

And topped with a sweet kiss

Bittersweet and simply sweet to read. The words weaved an escape from reality into a beautiful fantasy and the athmsphere is simply admired. I love the emotion in it. Lovely piece.

Ah, the bittersweet pain of love. Imagining the things that could be, but never done courtesy of anxiety. Not sure why, but this struck the pessimistic side of my conscious.
