Music dances off my finger tips

A sweet song of low, joyful melodies

Dripping from keys of

Ebony and Ivory

 

Close my eyes, and take it in

A small smile plays at my lips

How is that I,

I lowly little girl

Can bring forth such beauty

Truly, it is a blessing

 

Suck in a deep breath

And let it all escape in my alto voice

Feeling safe and strong

Beautiful and calm

Alone, yet known

How can I desribe the passion

That consumes me in a fervent flame

Music is a way of life

Not just a simple little game

I've played piano in the past and have always found it to be one of the most expressive instruments to play. Unfortunately I never had the disipline to keep at it. Music come from the soul a does love. The two are compatible with the songs of the heart. This is a wonderful poem. Good writing.
