Lost DreamersA Poem by Lost in WonderlandDreams, dreams, dreams It seems that they will always be Just a few feet away Just out of reach But always in our site So it keeps us hungry Thirsty, desperate for more Like some poor, old begger Kncoking on a car door
Until wishing, hoping Becomes a routine And humanity In all of our supposed glory Sees fit to sit back, relax And watch as life passes us by Consoling ourselves with The promise pf tomorrow Until God has no more tomorrows to give
Then We lay on our death bed Sober and alone Reminiscing over our droll life Thinking of all our crazy dreams, All our unfulfilled wishes Still crystal clear in our head
And as our breath starts to fade, A smile's on our face Because that childlike hope is still there
