The Sky is falling

The clouds are crying

This isn’t your average fairy tale

 

Black snow falls

In crimson rivers

Shadows lurk everywhere

What is this dark place

So enchanting

Utterly entrancing

And hypnotic...

 

Low whispers are carried by the wind to your ear

Stay with us, love

The voice is deep and seductive

You find yourself following it

You can't control yourself

This is no average prince

But a king of the night

 

He gazes into your eyes

Why does he seem so inviting,

Yet fear curdles inside you

His breath so cold

Makes you shiver

Half out of pleasure

Half out of dread

 

Cages hang around you

Carrying so many stories of past and

yet to happen

Stay with me...

He murmurs, drawing you close

 

The sky is falling

leaving darkness and blood

Lovely crimson rain falls on your face

And this dark creature

Is no prince

While this isn't much of a tale it is definitely enjoyable and has some strong imagery choices. Aside from the generic darkness I though it was a good change from the normal.

Very Nice. It has Beautiful imagery. Also, It has a subtle attractiveness of a twist in a usual fairy tale ending.

Or how it would be with an addiction. Like the voice is tempting etc, like something addictive. The person trapped in a cage is the victim as the voice whispers to her and tries to persuade her. It seems welcoming, yet they know there's something wrong. The cage could symbolize the bind an addiction can have on a person, and as you wrote "Carrying so many stories of past and
yet to happen
Stay with me..." It really brings that to mind. My father is an alcoholic, so I guess that might be one reason why I got that thought from reading this.
