IntrospectionA Poem by Bryan Micheni
See the stars as shattered sunsets;
Eyes just holes in front of head; Conscience, show of hopeless treason; Logic as lovers' demise... Sweetened pills of introspection Lay these weary hearts to sleep, And in wordless profligation Never wake from Morpheus' arms. Kill the hopeless and abandoned Take the valour from the brave, And in dark, find lasting solace In the emptiness within. © 2011 Bryan MicheniReviews
