RebootA Poem by Bryan Micheni
Maybe this play rebuttal's
Being gnawing at this conscience... False equivocation to the Immutable, To see, and be, but never change And compound all in neat little boxes Buried in dim-lit recess of memoirs... Velvet sheets to capture fancy, Impassive heart to tear your soul... Hedonistic pleasure's barbs... And maybe you should have heeded counsel, For both sakes: both yours and mine; You, to never be forsaken; Me, to never taste love's wine... Muse no more... Face me now, call my bluff, Take what I offer as your own And reboot this malfunctioned soul, And let me live again... © 2011 Bryan MicheniFeatured Review
