Reboot

Reboot

A Poem by Bryan Micheni

Maybe this play rebuttal's
Being gnawing at this conscience...
False equivocation to the Immutable,
To see, and be, but never change
And compound all in neat little boxes
Buried in dim-lit recess of memoirs...
Velvet sheets to capture fancy,
Impassive heart to tear your soul...
Hedonistic pleasure's barbs...
And maybe you should have heeded counsel,
For both sakes: both yours and mine;
You, to never be forsaken;
Me, to never taste love's wine...

Muse no more...
Face me now, call my bluff,
Take what I offer as your own
And reboot this malfunctioned soul,
And let me live again...

Nicely done! Such incredible and big and powerful words of description of the emotions and I just loved the ending of "Muse no more...
Face me now, call my bluff,
Take what I offer as your own
And reboot this malfunctioned soul,
And let me live again..."
If I could just collect lines that would be one of them and anyways well done with symbolism and everything. Excellent job and keep it up.

Firstly i always appreciate the scope of powerful diction you always seem to possess. You flaunt it magnificently in the piece and that really added your character into this binge.

How life can seem empty sometimes....we lose ourselves in this shell we call life and forget we're not here to survive. We're here to live. Love is part of living and missing out on the adventure is truly a saddening thought my friend....you've awed me with this...especially this part:
"Buried in dim-lit recess of memoirs...
Velvet sheets to capture fancy,
Impassive heart to tear your soul...
Hedonistic pleasure's barbs... "

I have "heeded this counsel" xD
Well written, my friend.

To reboot a mind is to form a new beginning. That's what I see in this poem. The intensity of the words speak more than a thousand sentences. Nice job.

To be able to re-boot a mind. That would be a good thing. I could feel the emotion and the desire in the poem. A strong ending to a excellent poem.
