The Indifferent

The Indifferent

A Poem by Bryan Micheni

Paint a picture of thousand lives,
Each within a thousand words,
But, let no tales be spoken...
Indifference chills these haughty bones
And from this throne of mine in mind
Be conquered.
Useless minds, and useless hearts
From useless people drawn.
And autotune of life's career
Compared to madness' melody
Seems wanting.
Peace be with us all
And hope for chaos.
Be worth me, or be without,
And world will stay the same.
Heart's still alive.
And keeps on beating,
But not same rhythm,
For madness became life,
And Angel, man...

There's a very long story behind this. Paradigm shift and changes of rhythm to which my heart dances, in short...

Lovely piece. Flows beautifully.

Indifference chills these haughty bones
And from this throne of mine in mind
Be conquered.

Excellent wording here.

I like this poem. Open the doors to a great conversation. Search for understanding can be a lifetime journey. Your ending is true in the poem. I believe people who live to be kind and try to stay above the madness can find some kind of peace.
"For madness became life,
And Angel, man..."
Thank you for a excellent poem.

"And autotune of life's career

This was a great read my friend...your language is on point! The flow was gripping and the message to be told was intense.

Greatly told...

I got many meanings while I was reading this. But the most overpowering one was of hopelessness...nothing really does matter. I find the deep meaning very interesting and the format and imagery here very creative. Some fine work.
