Opposing Forces of Love

This is a poem about a love/hate relationship. Hence the famous line "i cant live with you, but I cant live without you"

Sanity keeps me with you

But without you i go insane

You're the one who keeps me walking in the pouring rain 

We can make each other the happiest beings in the world and love is what we gain

But sometimes its a challenge and we cause each other pain

Love is at opposing forces like a game of Tug O' War

You want to beat the other side pulling you down but it may also leave you sore

Peace is love, love is war

You have to complete the obstacles of both closed and open doors

You might see some things coming and others may take you by surprise

But lifes not worth living for if you don't take risks, you cant always sit back and hide

Beg to differ but shine the same 

You're the one that stops my rain

I have to admit when I was younger I enjoyed a love with tension and had a better skin for conflict. As I got a bit older, that sort of love became unacceptable to me. I realized I was sensitive and wanted to keep my inner sense of harmony without that kind of a distraction. This poem brought that back to me.

I'm glad that my poem made you realize that you're living a more harmonious life now without feeling like you need a love with tension. Some people are lucky enough to break out of feeling that they need to have conflict all the time with their relationships but unfortunately some people feel as if they're relationships aren't complete without all of that tension.
