Looking for Guidance

A friend came to me the other day

With tears in her eyes

She told me slowly that she'd received bad news,

Her friend had committed suicide. 

I've been there seven times,

So I can relate to his situation

I've never been a victim of a lost friend

So I don't know how to uphold a conversation.

I wish I could be a help,

I see the pain in her eyes.

She told me she wants to go to his funeral

But personally I don't think it'd be wise.

I'm looking for guidance because I don't know what to do

I don't know how to handle the pain

I'm looking for guidance because I'm lost

And I had situations almost exactly the same...
