She's staring in the mirror at the bruise on her face 

And she's wondering to herself "Was this always my place?" 

And she's thinking 

"Has he forgotten the promise he gave

He walks in through the front door without saying a thing 

She worries until she looks down then she takes off her ring 

Now she's saying

He hits her down but she stands right back up

And then he says
