Homemade BrowniesA Poem by Michelle Rachel...
I can smell baking in the oven
And I'm in the living room Sitting next to my own piece of heaven And the timer goes off, "Do I have to move?" I mean, they're only homemade brownies, Just one little pan They can't be that important Not as much as he says I am So I'll just sit here Only a few minutes longer Am I still so blinded by the fear Of what might happen if I wander It's just a pan of homemade brownies Kids constantly begging my attention Way too many things to do These days all I want is peace and quiet When he will get home will never be too soon I mean, they're only homemade brownies, Just one little pan They can't be that important Not as much as he says I am So I'll just sit here Only a few minutes longer Am I still so blinded by the fear Of what might happen if I wander It's just a pan of homemade brownies Are they really so important? Will the world fall apart without them? I mean, they're only homemade brownies, Just one little pan They can't be that important Not as much much as he says I am So I'll just sit here Only a few minutes longer Am I still so blinded by the fear Of what might happen if I wander It's just a pan of homemade brownies Just a pan of homemade brownies...
