Amazing GraceA Poem by MichelleClayHer strong toned muscles flex as she surveys the land around her Her long glossy hair, shines like a mirror in the sun She is a beauty to behold, and many have tried to own her But she is too wild, too complex and so she runs. She runs as quickly as the wind, feeling the rough ground beneath Her steamy breath shows her effort as she pants in the frosty first light. She smiles a secret smile pushes her legs to go faster Nature is freedom, it’s her delight She slows to a gentler pace, for she has seen his face He is always there at this time, waiting patiently to bring her in Each day she steps a little closer, for he does not want her to change He has loved her rough beauty since that very first day He’ll be the only one to ride her; he is the only one she wants For no matter how far or wide she runs, love cannot be escaped And with rope now between his fingers she steps, gently ever so softly Toward her amazing grace © 2011 MichelleClayFeatured Review
