Losing It

Losing It

A Poem by lost sock
"

This is rather pointless and really random, but I'm sharing it anyway. This is about what happens when I'm left on my own all day every day.

"

Here I am, same as always.

I've been sitting here so long

the walls are no longer white.

No, I see a kaleidoscope.

Twisting and turning colors.

They entertain me, even if they don't exist.

The voices keep me company too

(though admittedly, they frighten me sometimes.)

This is every day for me

on and on, it never ends.

But wait!

Something is different today...

A pillow is missing from the couch!

Oh joy! What excitement!

And now a search!

Wheee, the monotony is lifted

if only for a moment.

But alas, the pillow is found.

Resting in the rocking chair,

the wad of fluff ruins my adventure.

Oh well.

I still have my wall to stare at.

And maybe tomorrow I'll lose the remote.

Even though this has a darker undertone, it makes me giggle. I like it, it's refreshing.

Nice way of putting a normal boring day into an interesting poem. I liked these lines:
the walls are no longer white.

No, I see a kaleidoscope.

Twisting and turning colors.

They entertain me, even if they don't exist.

The voices keep me company too

(though admittedly, they frighten me sometimes.)

they have a little bit of a sad hopeless humor...I don't know if you were aiming for that, but it worked soo...yeah.
the ending also worked out pretty well, I hope you do lose that remote.haha.
