The Bentley

The Bentley

A Poem by Micheleyves

The Bentley

I apologize for borrowing the Bentley last night.

Although it was fun.

I know that it was wrong.

Because, I do not have a driver’s license.

You were asleep when I got back,

and I did not want to disturbed you.

I left the keys on the table.

I have to tell you the night was going swell

until I had an encounter with a telephone pole.

I could not avoid it.

By the way.

I put the passenger door on the work bench in the garage.

I ducked taped the bumper back.

I zip tied the driver side headlight to the front grill.

So I will talk to you in a couple of days.

Sorry about  the car.
