Down in the Cape,
Where the mountains and sea meet.
On an untamed stretch of beach,
I rode a mare her name now I forget.
But I remember so well her strength,
Which sent waves through my body,
and drove me to ride so furiously.
Unleasing my uncontrolled wild spirit,
Racing hard along the seasand,
Splashing water up our bodies,
Wetting my bare legs.
Salt water soaking my red sarong,
Clinging tightly to my body.
My hair tousled in complete disarray,
Wind rushing past me, through me.
I felt her laugh beneath me,
As I cried out FREEDOM!
ah yes I remember well,
That day in the Cape,
At the tip of Africa,
Where the mountains and sea meet,
On an untamed stretch of beach,
Where an animal and girl met,
Both a bit untamed and wild,
Crying out FREEDOM!!!
