The Truth About Life

The Truth About Life

A Poem by Michael X
"

...

"
Sometimes, it takes a cloudy afternoon to appreciate the sunshine
and sometimes, it takes a starless night to admire the moonlight.
Some days are more challenging than others, some days,
but every new day gives a person another chance to try again.
And perhaps that is what life is, another chance to try again.
But never try so hard that you lose the point of life.
Understanding life is what you desire, and you are correct
with the question that you ask but the truth is,
the answer that you seek has been within you all along.

The whole of this piece speaks wisdom. But the last lines are epic. I think while seeking the answers, we forget to look inside us.
Excellently put. 👍

The core of this poem is not only beautiful, but also recognises the utter importance in consistently moving forward, and always at least attempting to better yourself as a human being, and to stay true to who you are.
There's always tomorrow. And tomorrow could be amazing.
I loved this, well done.

Every line has its own depth in it. It is an encouraging poem I liked it. Also I agree with each and every line sometimes we realise the value of a thing when we lose them.

This is brilliantly true, sometimes there must be darkness to understand the value of light. Life is about learning.
I love this poem

I allow these words to sit on my tongue, savoring each and every word. I dont want to swallow..no..I want them to be right there for me to chew on when I am feeling disgruntled with life, when I need some encouragement. ... Write on young man..write on

Amen so true !
Life can be so distracting though it's more difficult now more than ever it seems to remind yourself its important to stop close your eyes and smell the roses after they've began to bloom so to speak :~)

Love this!

As long as we breathe, there is a chance to repent, to build bridges, to forgive and to ask for forgiveness or to make a difference.
I agree with your viewpoint and I like how you put your point across in this one Michael X.
