Midnight PrayerA Poem by Michael X...
Sometimes I close my eyes
and this feeling inside me rises and this vision of crows taking flight explodes on the back of my eyelids. What will happen to the love poets when moonlight loses its glow? I promise that I'll remember you even as time forgets us both. The coldest days of the year came early and life is a struggle, the crows that were left behind are barely making it through the bitter, biting cold. But I'm surviving on thoughts of you. I say my prayers at midnight and God tells me to never let you go.
